## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT STATED THAT HE WAS RETURNING TO TIW FROM JEFFERSON COUNTY AIRPORT WHERE HE HAD AT ATE AT THE RESTAURANT. PILOT LANDED AT TIW AND THE AIRCRAFT GROUND LOOPED, CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT. ON THE PHONE, THE PILOT INDICATED THAT HIS BRAKE HAD HUNG UP CAUSING HIM TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT AND THE PROPELLER HAD STRUCK THE RUNWAY. ARRIVED AT THE PILOTS HANGAR AND INSPECTED THE AIRCRAFT AND RECORDS. THE RIGHT HAND GEAR LEG WAS BENT, AND THE RIGHT HAND WING TIP AND PROP WAS MISSING. THE PILOT THEN STATED THAT HE DID NOT KNOW IF THE WINDS HAD CAUSED HIM TO LOSE CONTROL, OR IF THE BRAKES HAD HUNG UP, OR IF HIS FOOT HAD SLIPPED OFF THE RUDDER PEDALS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
