## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23)ON 08/25/2008, THE PILOT, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ DEPARTED ALBUQUERQUE, NM (ABQ) IN ROUTE TO PEORIA, IL (PIA), AT APPROXIMATELY 17,000 FT THE PILOT REPORTED AN OPERATIONAL PROBLEM WITH THE AIRCRAFT ELEVATOR TRIM SYSTEM. AT 1700Z THE AIRCRAFT MADE AN EMERGNECY LANDING AT HAYS, KS, (HYS) AND DRIFTED OFF THE END/SIDE OF THE RUNWAY INTO A DITCH BANK DAMAGING THE AIRCRAFT NOSE LANDING GEAR AND PROPELLER.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
