## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THIS PRIVATE PILOT RATED AIRMAN REPORTS THAT WHILE APPLYING AGRICULTURAL CHEMICALS TO HIS FARM CROPS HE STRUCK A MOUND OF ROCKS RESULTING IN DAMAGE TO THE LEFT MAIN GEAR WHEEL AND GEAR ATTACH POINT. ON HIS RETURN FOR LANDING AT THE JAMESTOWN, ND AIRPORT, THE GEAR COLLAPSED AND THE LEFT WING TIP AND ONE PROPELLER TIP STRUCK THE RUNWAY. THE DAMAGE WAS MINOR, THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND NO FIRE ENSUED. THE PILOT HAD ATTEMPTED TO STOP THE PROPELLER ROTATION PRIOR TO LANDING BY SHUTTING OFF THE ENGINE, BUT THE PROPELLER CONTINUED TO WINDMILL WITH ONE BLADE IN THE DOWN POSITION AT TOUCH DOWN, RESULTING IN THE PROP DAMAGE. ANY SUBSEQUENT ENGINE DAMAGE IS BEING ANALYZED BY THE OPERATOR'S MECHANICS. NO STRUCTURAL DAMAGE WAS NOTED DURING THE INVESTIGATION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
