## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ REPORTED HE HAD DEPARTED HIS PRIVATE STRIP WITH APPROXIMATELY 200 GALLONS OF CHEMICALS TO COMPLETE ONE LAST APPLICATION FOR THE DAY DUE TO CLOUDS AND RAIN MOVING INTO THE AREA. DUE TO THE RAIN AND CLOUDS ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS UNABLE TO DISPENSE HIS LOAD AND HAD TO RETURN TO HIS LANDING STRIP WITH THE LOAD. THE RETURN FLIGHT WAS THROUGH SOME RAIN BUT ALL ELSE REMAINED NORMAL. APPROACH AND LANDING WERE REPORTED AS SLIGHTLY FAST. AFTER TOUCHDOWN THE AIRCRAFT REPORTEDLY HIT A BUMP IN THE RUNWAY AS THE TAIL CAME DOWN, THE AIRCRAFT STARTED TO VEER TO THE LEFT, AS BRAKES WERE APPLIED DIRECTIONAL CONTROL WAS LOST AND THE AIRCRAFT SLIDE OFF THE RUNWAY TO THE LEFT AND COLLIDED WITH A DRAINAGE DITCH, DAMAGING ALL FOUR WINGS.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB MIA08CA184](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/MIA08CA184), Aug 29, 2008: Gulfstream-Schweizer G-164B (N8137K), Pantego, NC, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain directional control on the landing roll out.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
