## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT WAS LANDING AT BLAIRSTOWN AIRPORT (1N7), BLAIRSTOWN, NEW JERSEY. AT THE TIME OF LANDING THE WINDS WERE GUSTING AT ABOUT 12 KNOTS. PILOT WAS OVER THE RUNWAY AND WANTED TO KEEP HIS SPEED UP FOR CONTROL ABILITY OF THE GLIDER. THE GLIDER WAS CONFIGURED WITH THE FLAPS DOWN AND SPEED BRAKES EXTENDED. PILOT REACHED OVER TO RETRACT THE SPEED BRAKES BUT RETRACTED THE FLAPS CAUSING THE GLIDER TO LOOSE LIFT AND IMPACT THE RUNWAY. THE TAIL SECTION OF THE GLIDER SUSTAINED A CRACK, NO INJURIES TO THE PILOT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
