## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON SEPTEMBER 16, 2008, COMMERCIAL PILOT, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ TAXIED A PIPER, PA-32-301 AIRPLANE TO AN ALASKA STATE OWNED BUILDING AT PILOT POINT, ALASKA. WHEN SHE TAXIED INTO THE APRON, SHE INDICATED THAT SHE LOOKED TO THE RIGHT AND NOTICED A TRUCK ON THE LEFT OF THE AIRPLANE. SHE SWUNG THE AIRPLANE'S NOSE TO THE RIGHT, SINCE SHE THOUGHT SHE WAS CLEAR. SECONDS LATER, THE PILOT REPORTED THAT SHE SAW DEBRIS FLYING. THE PROPELLER STRUCK A BOXED GENERATOR THAT WAS LEFT BY THE PREVIOUS PILOT AND DRIVER. THE PREVIOUS PILOT UNLOADED THE AIRCRAFT INTO A TRUCK TO DELIVER MAIL. THE BOX WAS LEFT OUTSIDE OF THE BUILDING WHERE AIRCRAFT PARK. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ TAXIED IN BEFORE THE REST OF THE CARGO COULD BE REMOVED FROM THE PREMISES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
