## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT REPORTED THREE GREEN GEAR INDICATOR LIGHTS AND THAT THE APPROACH AND TOUCHDOWN WERE NORMAL UNTIL THE NOSE GEAR CONTACTED THE RUNWAY, AT WHICH TIME THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED. THE RECOVERY CREW STATED THAT WHEN THE TAIL OF THE AIRCRAFT WAS PULLED DOWN THE NOSEGEAR POPPED OUT AND LOCKED ON ITS OWN. THE AIRCRAFT WAS PLACED ON JACKS AND THE GEAR WAS CHECKED FOR DAMAGE AND PROPER OPERATION. NO MECHANICAL DEFECTS WERE FOUND AND THE GEAR FUNCTIONED NORMALLY. INCIDENT NUMBER ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ IS CLOSED WITH THIS REPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
