## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE RIGHT WING OF THE AIRPLANE COLLIDED WITH A PARKED VEHICLE WHILE THE PRIVATE PILOT WAS TAXIING THE AIRPLANE TO A PARKING SPACE. THE AIRPLANE SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE TO THE LEADING EDGE WING SKIN BETWEEN TWO RIBS. THE PILOT REPORTED THE FOLLOWING. HE WAS ON A SOLO CROSS-COUNTRY INSTRUCTIONAL FLIGHT (COMMERCIAL PILOT), AND HAD JUST LANDED AT VENICE SHORTLY BEFORE THE INCIDENT OCCURRED. AS HE TAXIIED THE AIRPLANE ON AN FBO RAMP TO FIND A PARKING SPOT, A WOMAN BEGAN "YELLING" AT HIM OVER THE CTAF AND TOLD HIM TO PARK IN A DIFFERENT LOCATION. SHE DIRECTED HIM TO TAXI BETWEEN A PARKED BUSINESS JET AND MAINTENACNE TRUCK TO THE PARKING AREA. AS HE DID SO, THE WOMAN CONTINUED TO "YELL" AT HIM. AT ABOUT THAT TIME, HE HEARD A SOFT THUMP AND HIT THE BRAKES. HE THEN SAW THAT THE RIGHT WING HAD COLLIDED WITH THE TRUCK.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
