## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT IN COMMAND (PIC) STATE HE TAXIED INTO A PARKING AREA ADJACENT TO THE OFF AIRPORT LANDING FIELD, AND WHILE TURNING THE AIRCRAFT TO STOP AND PARK, THE AIRCRAFT'S TAIL IMPACTED A BUSH WHICH SUBSEQUENTLY LODGED BETWEEN THE RIGHT HORIZONTAL AND RIGHT ELEVATOR. AS A RESULT, THE RIGHT OUT END OF THE ELEVATOR WAS BENT UP AND REARWARD.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ANC09TA005](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ANC09TA005), Oct 9, 2008: Cessna A185F (N9380N), Kenai, AK, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain clearance from high vegetation while taxiing after landing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
