## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THIS STUDENT PILOT WAS RETURNING FROM A SOLO CROSS COUNTRY AND LANDED ON RUNWAY 19L WITH A 5 KNOT RIGHT CROSSWIND. THE AIRCRAFT REPORTEDLY BOUNCED TWICE AND IN THE STUDENT'S WORDS WAS "HOPING SIDE TO SIDE". THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED THE LEFT (EAST) SIDE OF THE RUNWAY AND STRUCK TWO RUNWAY LIGHTS, PUTTING A DENT IN THE UNDERSIDE OF THE ENGINE COWLING AND A SCUFF ON THE RIGHT WHEEL FAIRING. THE STUDENT TAXIED THE AIRCRAFT TO THE HANGAR AND CALLED THE INSTRUCTOR TO INFORM HIM OF THE INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
