## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT FLYING, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, WHO IS RATED AND CURRENT IN THE DA-42, WAS PERFORMING TOUCH AND GO LANDINGS IN THE SDL TRAFFIC PATTERN. THE PILOT FLYING FAILED TO LOWER THE LANDING GEAR. THE CFI PROVIDING INSTRUCTION FOR THE MULTIENGINE INSTRUCTOR RATING, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, FAILED TO NOTICE THE ERROR OR TAKE CORRECTIVE ACTION RESULTING IN A GEAR UP LANDING. THE INSTRUCTOR ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ IS ALSO CURRENT IN THE DA-42.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
