## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE AIRCRAFT APPROACHED F89 A NON-TOWERED AIRPORT, FROM THE WEST FOR A LEFT DOWNWIND FOR RUNWAY 36. THE PILOT NOTICED ANOTHER AIRCRAFT OVERFLY THE AIRPORT, BUT LOST SIGHT OF THE OTHER AIRCRAFT WHEN HE TURNED DOWNWIND. ON SHORT FINAL TO RUNWAY 36 THE PILOT NOTICED THE AIRCRAFT OVERHEAD AND DESCENDING INTO HIM. THE PILOT STATED THE AIRCRAFT WAS APPROXIMATELY 100 FEET ABOVE HIM. THE PILOT DOVE AND TURNED TO AVOID A POSSIBLE COLLISION. THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK POWER LINES ON THE PERIMETER OF THE AIRPORT CAUSING THE AIRCAFT TO CRASH. ## NTSB investigation

None matched to this report by aircraft and date. Search the NTSB's own records: https://data.ntsb.gov/carol-main-public/basic-search

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
