## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 11-06-2008 AT APPROXIMITLY 0135 ZULU, WHILE OPERATING AT NIGHT VFR, N1713S, SWITZER 300, LOST POWER AND LANDED ON A CITY STREET IN TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA, 2 ONBOARB, NO INJURIES AND NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT. INSPECTORS FROM THIS OFFICE CONDUCTED AN INVESTIGATION ON 11-10-2008, AND DETERMINED THAT A THROTTLE LINKAGE AT FAILED, LEAVING THE ENGINE TO OPERATE AT AN INTERMEDIATE POWER SETTING. THE INSTRUCTOR STATED THAT RATHER ATTEMPT TO RETURN TO THE TITUSVILLE AIRPORT (TIX), HE WOULD HAVE A CONTROLLED LANDING ON THE STREET BELOW. THE AIRCRAFT WAS UNDAMAGED AND THE CREW UNHARMED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
