## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23)ON NOVEMBER 11, 2008, THE PILOT OPERATING N6267Y, A CESSNA CE-210-N AIRCRAFT, DEPARTED RUNWAY 17R AT THE LUBBOCK PRESTON SMITH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (KLBB), LUBBOCK, TEXAS AT APPROXIMATLEY 1400 CST EN ROUTE TO CLOVIS, NEW MEXICO (KCVN) ON A VFR FLIGHT. THE PILOT WAS CLEARED TO TAKEOFF AND CLIMB TO 8,000 FEET MSL ON A HEADING OF 260 DEGREES. AT 1406 CST, THE PILOT NOTICED SMOKE IN THE COCKPIT AFTER RETRACTING THE LANDING GEAR. HE ATTEMPTED TO CONTACT THE LUBBOCK AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY UNSUCCESSFULLY DUE TO A POPPED CIRCUIT BREAKER FOR THE NUMBER ONE COMMUNICATION RADIO. THE PILOT ENTERED A RIGHT DOWNWIND FOR RUNWAY 17R AND LOWERED THE FLAPS. THE AIRCRAFT TOUCHED DOWN APPROXIMATELY 1,000 FEET PAST THE THRESHOLD OF RUNWAY 17R. THE AIRCRAFT SLID APPROXIMATELY 1,000 FEET AS THE LANDING GEAR NEVER EXTENDED FULLY AND CAME TO A STOP ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY 100 FEET PRIOR TO THE 17R AND TAXIWAY A INTERSECTION. THE PILOT WAS THE SOLE OCCUPANT AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE AIRCRAFT RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE TO THE LOWER FUSELAGE SKIN FROM THE NOSE GEAR DOOR, LOWER FUSELAGE, PROPELLER, ANTENNAS, AND RIGHT WINGTIP.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
