## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT INVOLVED IN AIR SHOW AT NAS PENSACOLA. FLIGHT INVOLVED COORDINATED FLIGHT WITH FA-18 SUPER HORNET. PILOT SET UP TO LAND ON RUNWAY 7 AND EXTENDED GEAR, FLAPS, AND SPEED BRAKES. FA-18 SUPER HORNET CALLED FOR LANDING ON OPPOSITE RUNWAY SO FJ-4B PILOT BROKE OFF HIS APPROACH, CLEANED UP THE AIRCRAFT, AND PROCEEDED FOR THE DOWNWIND ENTRY TO RUNWAY 15. PILOT EXTENDED SPEED BRAKES AND BEGAN TO SCAN FOR SUPER HORNET. IN THE PROCESS OF SCANNING AND CHANGING RUNWAYS THE PILOT FAILED TO EXTEND HIS GEAR AND LANDED GEAR UP.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
