## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AS PER STATEMENT FROM AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLER: AFTER AIRCRAFT BROKE OUT OF OVERCAST NORTH OF FIELD, PILOT CORRECTED TO LEFT TO ALIGN WITH RUNWAY. AFTER TOUCHDOWN, AIRCRAFT LEFT RUNWAY INTO GRASS FOR ABOUT 1500 TO 2000 FEET. AIRCRAFT WAS THEN TAXIED TO RAMP. PILOT STATEMENT INDICATES UPON TOUCHDOWN, LEFT BRAKE LOCKED CAUSING AIRCRAFT TO LEAVE RUNWAY TO THE SOUTH. AIRCRAFT WAS THEN TAXIED TO RAMP. UPON INVESTIGATION OF AIRCRAFT, NOSE GEAR AS WELL AS PROPELLER SHOW EVIDENCE OF DAMAGE. NO EVIDENCE OF FLAT OR WORN SPOTS NOTICED ON ANY OF MAIN TIRES. PHYSICALLY MOVED AIRCRAFT FORE AND AFT. NO EVIDENCE OF BRAKES SEIZED. AS PER MAINTENANCE ENTRIES, BRAKE LININGS AND DISCS WERE REPLACED ON THE DAY OF THE INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
