## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) DURING TAKEOFF ROLL ON RWY 5 JUST PRIOR TO LIFTING OFF, THE AIRCRAFT BEGAN TO DRIFT LEFT OF THE CENTER LINE. THE PILOT ATTEMPTED TO APPLY RIGHT RUDDER TO CORRECT THE DIRECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT AND THE RIGHT BRAKE LOCKED UP STEERING THE AIRCRAFT ABRUPTLY TO THE RIGHT. THE COPILOT REDUCED POWER TO IDLE AS THE AIRCRAFT VEERED TOWARD THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT APPLIED BOTH RIGHT AND LEFT BRAKES IN AN ATTEMPT TO STOP THE AIRCRAFT BUT WAS UNSUCCESSFUL. THE AIRCRAFT VEERED OFF RWY 5 AT APPROXIMATELY 15 M.P.H. INTO THE GRASS AND WENT THROUGH A SMALL CULVERT WHICH COLLAPSED THE NOSE GEAR AS THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST.
