## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 11/19/2008, PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS RECEIVING TRAINING ON A NEW AVIAT HUSKY WITH THE INSTRUCTOR ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ IN THE REAR SEAT, PERFORMING TOUCH AND GOES ON RUNWAY 36R. ACCORDING TO THE REPORT OF BOTH INDIVIDUALS, AFTER AN UNEVENTFUL LANDING, THE AIRCRAFT STARTED TO DRIFT TO THE RIGHT OF THE RUNWAY ON ROLLOUT. AT THAT TIME THERE WAS A CROSSWIND COMPONENT GUSTING FROM 020 DEGREES. THE ELEVATOR TRIM WALL ROLLED FULL BACK (FULL UP) THE PILOT APPLIED LEFT RUDDER TO CORRECT THE DRIFT AND STRAIGHTEN THE AIRCRAFT. AS THE AIRCRAFT SLOWED THE TAIL STARTED TO RAISE AND THE INSTRUCTOR CAME ON THE CONTROLS BUT WAS UNABLE TO PREVENT THE PROPELLER STRIKING THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT AND CFI WERE UNINJURED AND EXITED THE AIRCRAFT. WHEN QUESTIONED ABOUT POSSIBILITY OF BRAKING WHEN THE LEFT RUDDER WAS APPLIED, THE CFI ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ SAID IT WAS VERY POSSIBLE. AIRCRAFT WAS REMOVED TO A HANGER AT THE LOCAL FBO. THE AIRCRAFT WAS EXAMINED, CONTROLS SEEMED TO BE FREE AND BRAKES FREE, AIRCRAFT ROLLED FREELY WITHOUT BRAKING.

## Other reports on N7ZR (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Accident 20130115000089A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/20130115000089A), Jan 15, 2013: Aviat Aircraft Inc A-1C-180 (N7ZR), Upper Sandusky, OH, Substantial damage. During the landing rollout, the pilot experienced a gust of wind that initiated a ground loop event that the pilot could not recover from.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
