## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE PREPARING TO LAND FOLLOWING A TRAINING FLIGHT, PILOT ATTEMPTED TO LOWER LANDING GEAR. THE NOSE GEAR DOWN AND LOCKED LIGHT DID NOT ILLUMINATE. PILOT ATTEMPTED SEVERAL TIMES TO CYCLE GEAR TO CORRECT THE SITUATION WITH NO CHANGE. PILOT THEN ATTEMPTED AN EMERGENCY GEAR EXTENSION WITH NO CHANGE. AFTER CONFERRING WITH GROUND PERSONNEL AND DVT TOWER, WHICH STATED NOSE GEAR APPEARED TO BE DOWN, THE PILOT THEN TOUCHED DOWN THE AIRCRAFT IN WHICH THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED. AIRCRAFT CAME TO A STOP ON THE RUNWAY AND BOTH PILOTS DEPARTED THE AIRCRAFT WITH NO INJURIES. AIRCRAFT WAS THEN MOVED FROM THE RUNWAY TO COMPANY REPAIR STATION UNTIL INSPECTORS FROM SCOTTSDALE FSDO ARRIVED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
