## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AFTER TAKEOFF THE PILOT SELECTED THE GEAR UP POSITION AND DURING RETRACTION A MALFUNCTION OCCURRED LOCKING THE GEAR IN A NEARLY FULL UP POSITION. VERIFICATION OF THE LANDING GEARS POSITION WAS MADE BY A GROUND OBSERVER AT THE AIRPORT. PILOT WAS UNABLE TO LOWER THE LANDING GEAR WITH NORMAL OR EMERGENCY PROCEDURES. A GEAR UP LANDING WAS PERFORMED AT THE CROOKSTON AIRPORT ON GRASS RUNWAY 24. MINOR DAMAGE WAS SUSTAINED TO THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
