## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THIS IS A SECOND INCIDENT REPORTED BY ATCT REGARDING SMOKE AND FUMES IN THE CABIN OF N443AA, THE SAME DAY, BUT A LATER FLIGHT. SEE INCIDENT REPORT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, FOR THE FIRST INCIDENT. SHORTLY AFTER 2:00 PM, N443AA DEPARTED ICT FOR DFW FOR THIS SECOND FLIGHT WITH ONLY THE FLIGHT CREW AND CABIN CREW ON BOARD. PASSENGERS HAD BEEN PLACED ON ANOTHER FLIGHT AFTER THE FIRST INCIDENT AROUND NOON THE DAY. THE SAME SMOKE & FUMES DEVELOPED IN THE CABIN. THE DECISION WAS MADE TO RETURN TO ICT. AN EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED. AFTER THIS SECOND EVENT, THE AIRCRAFT WAS REMOVED FROM SERVICE AND AALA MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL WERE SENT TO ICT TO RECOVER THE AIRCRAFT. THE AIRCRAFT WAS SUBSEQUENTLY FLOWN TO DFW ON SPECIAL FLIGHT PERMIT FOR FURTHER MAINTENANCE ACTION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
