## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE LANDING ON RUNWAY 15 AT EMPORIA-GREENSVILLE REGIONAL AIRPORT, THE PILOT ENCOUNTERED DIFFICULTY GETTING THE AIRCRAFT ON THE RUNWAY. DURING THE FLARE, THE AIRCRAFT FLOATED DOWN THE RUNWAY. WITH MORE THAN ADEQUATE RUNWAY REMAINING FOR THE AIRCRAFT AND CONDITIONS, THE PILOT CONTINUED THE LANDING AND PROVIDED A SMALL AMOUNT OF THROTTLE TO KEEP THE PLANE FROM STALLING. AS THE PLANE CONTINUED DOWN THE RUNWAY, IT ALSO CONTINUED TO DRIFT TO THE LEFT. AFTER THE PLANE TOUCHED DOWN, THE PILOT HEARD AND FELT THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR STRIKE AN OBSTACLE. IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE LEFT MAIN GEAR STRUCK A RUNWAY LIGHT.
