## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AT 1607 ON 28 DECEMBER 2008, AT PALESTINE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT (KPSN), PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WITH HIS 6 YEAR OLD GRANDDAUGHTER ACCIDENTALLY STARTED HIS AIRCRAFT BY PULLING THE PROPELLER THROUGH BY HAND. THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ AND PROCEEDED ACROSS THE FIELD WITH HIS GRANDDAUGHTER IN THE AIRCRAFT, IMPACTING THE TREE LINE ABOUT EIGHT HUNDRED YARDS AWAY. THE IMPACT DESTROYED THE AIRCRAFT AND INJURED THE 6 YEAR OLD GIRL. INJURIES TO THE PILOT WERE A LACERATION ON THE SCALP ALONG WITH BRUISES. INJURIES TO THE 6 YEAR OLD GIRL WERE A LACERATION ACROSS THE FOREHEAD.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN09LA107](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN09LA107), Dec 28, 2008: Cessna 150F (N8212F), Palenstine, TX, substantial damage. Probable cause: The failure of the pilot to ensure security of the cockpit switches before rotating the propeller.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
