## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR FAILED TO CORRECT THE STUDENT'S POOR APPROACH. AS A RESULT, THE STUDENT (A PRIVATE PILOT) LANDED WITH EXCESSIVE SPEED WELL BEYOND THE NORMAL TOUCHDOWN ZONE ON THE SNOW-COVERED 2000 FOOT RUNWAY. NEITHER THE CFI NOR STUDENT INITIATED A GO AROUND. BRAKING ACTION WAS POOR AND THE AIRCRAFT IMPACTED A SNOW BANK AT THE END OF RUNWAY 19.
