## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT HAD LANDED AT CHA ON RWY 20. HE MADE A LEFT TURN OFF THE ACTIVE RWY. HE WAS TAXIING TOWARD HIS T-HANGER (#21) WHEN HIS RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR (MLG) STRUCK A HELICOPTER DOLLY PARKED IN A MARKED LOCATION AT THE EDGE OF A TAXIWAY. THE IMPACT DAMGED THE RIGHT WING, RIGHT MLG, CAUSED THE NOSE LANDING GEAR TO COLLAPSE AND THE PROPELLER TO STRIKE THE EDGE OF THE DOLLY. THE PILOT WAS UNINJURED.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA09CA117](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA09CA117), Dec 30, 2008: Beech G35 (N400SC), Chattanooga, TN, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to see and avoid the marked helicopter dolly. Contributing to the accident were the dark night conditions.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
