## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE OWNER/PILOT WAS DOING TOUCH AND GO LANDINGS FOR CURRENCY/PROFICIENCY. ON THE FIFTH LANDING, THE PILOT STATES HE MIGHT HAVE FLARED A LITTLE HIGH, THEN SETTLED IN TO THE THREE POINT LANDING PROFILE. THE PLANE BOUNCED A LITTLE. IT STARTED TO OSCILLATE, THEN IT VEERED TO THE LEFT. AFTER IT VEERED TOO FAR LEFT, HE COULDN'T STRAIGHTEN IT OUT. THE RIGHT LANDING GEAR FOLDED UNDER THE FUSELAGE, AND THE LOWER RIGHT WING STRUCK THE GROUND. INSPECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT REVEALED A BROKEN WING RIB ON THE LOWER RIGHT WING, ALONG WITH A CRACK IN THE AFT SPAR OF THE LOWER RIGHT WING APPROXIMATELY SIX TO EIGHT INCHES LONG STARTING AT THE TIP OF THE WING.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR09CA081](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR09CA081), Jan 9, 2009: Parker 77 (N60DE), Phoenix, AZ, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain directional control during landing. Contributing to the accident was the pilot's improper application of brakes.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
