## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS RECEIVING INSTRUCTIONS FROM HIS INSTRUCTOR. BOTH PILOTS BRIEFED THE PROCEDURE TO BE USED FOR DOING TAKEOFFS AND LANDINGS. DURING THE SECOND LANDING, PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ REACHED FOR THE GEAR INSTEAD OF THE FLAPS. THE INSTRUCTOR STOPPED PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ BY GRABBING HIS HANDS. HOWEVER, PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ OVERPOWERED THE INSTRUCTOR AND MOVED THE GEAR HANDLE TO THE UP POSITION. ONLY THE NOSE GEAR RETRACTED, CAUSING THE PROPELLER TO STRIKE THE GROUND. AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE, THERE WERE NO INJURIES. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
