SHORTLY AFTER TAKE OFF ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ (PILOT) RETURNED TO THE AIRPORT DUE TO A SMELL OF SMOKE IN THE AIRCRAFT. AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. AIRCRAFT WAS SENT TO NAPLES JET CENTER FOR MAINTENANCE, AFTER AN INSPECTION FOUND THE NUMBER ONE GCU/VOLTAGE REGULATOR BURNED OUT. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, FROM THE JET CENTER, WILL ORDER AND INSTALL NEW PART AND RETURN AIRCRAFT TO SERVICE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
