## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 1/29/2009 AT APPROX. 15:28PM A CESSNA 172S, N2679M OWNED BY ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, A FLIGHT SCHOOL, WAS INVOLVED IN AN INCIDENT DURING LANDING DUE TO OVER SHOOTING THE RUNWAY. THE STUDENT PILOT, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, HAVING 25 HOURS TOTAL TIME, WAS ON A PART 61 TRAINING FLIGHT UNDER VFR CONDITIONS AND WITH NO FLIGHT PLAN FILED. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE AND THE PILOT, SOLE OCCUPANT, RECEIVED NO INJURIES. THE PILOT HOLDS A STUDENT PILOT CERTIFICATE ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^. THE FLIGHT ORIGINATED FROM THE AIRPORT WHICH THE INCIDENT OCCURRED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
