## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 01/22/2009, AT APPROXIMATELY 4:40 PST, CESSNA 337 AIRCRAFT, N1ZK, LANDED ON RUNWAY 13R ON BOEING FIELD/KING COUNTY INTERNATIONAL (KBFI) WITH THE MAIN LANDING GEAR NOT FULLY EXTENDED AND LOCKED DOWN. DURING AN ILS APPROACH THE PILOT IN COMMAND SELECTED THE LANDING GEAR DOWN AT THE FINAL APPROACH FIX. HE HEARD THE LANDING GEAR POWER PACK RUNNING BUT DID NOT OBSERVE A MAIN GEAR DOWN AND LOCKED INDICATION. THE NOSE GEAR INDICATED DOWN AND LOCKED, HOWEVER, THE POWER PACK CONTINUED TO RUN WITH AN UNSAFE MAIN GEAR INDICATION. HE PULLED THE POWER PACK CIRCUIT BREAKER TO SHUT OFF THE PUMP. CIRCLING WEST OF THE AIRPORT, HE ATTEMPTED UNSUCCESSFULLY FOR TWENTY MINUTES TO PUMP THE MAIN LANDING GEAR DOWN. THE PILOT EXECUTED A GEAR UNSAFE LANDING ON THE RUNWAY, SHUTTING DOWN BOTH ENGINES WHEN THE RUNWAY WAS ASSURED. THE NOSE GEAR REMAINED EXTENDED DURING THE LANDING WITH THE AIRCRAFT COMING TO REST ON THE NOSE GEAR, THE LOWER REAR FUSELAGE, AND THE COLLAPSED MAIN LANDING GEAR. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE TO THE LANDING GEAR DOORS, THE LOWER AFTER FUSELAGE, AND ONE BLADE OF THE REAR PROPELLER.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
