## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DELTA AIRLINES AIRCRAFT N711ZX WAS BEING PUSHED BACK WHEN ITS RIGHT WINGLET STRUCK THE LEFT HORIZONTAL STABILIZER OF DELTA AIRLINES SHIP N184DL, A BOEING 767, AT JFK AIRPORT IN NEW YORK. INVESTIGATION REVEALED THAT PASSENGERS WERE ON BOARD AIRCRAFT N711ZX AT THE TIME OF THE OCCURRENCE, NO PASSENGERS WERE ON BOARD AIRCRAFT N184DL, NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED. THE TIP OF THE STABILIZER OF AIRCRAFT 184DL WAS BENT/DAMAGED. THIS DAMAGE WAS DOCUMENTED AND THE END CAP FOR THE HORIZONTAL STABILIZER WAS REMOVED AND REPLACED. THE WINGLET OF AIRCRAFT N711ZX WAS GOUGED THROUGH THE OUTBOARD SIDE OF THE COMPOSITE STRUCTURE. THE WINGLET WAS REMOVED IN ACCORDANCE WITH AMM SECTION 57-31-01, THE AIRCRAFT WAS FERRIED TO ATLANTA, GEORGIA AND THE WINGLET WAS SUBSEQUENTLY REPLACED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
