As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) GREAT LAKES 5117, OPERATING AS A 121 DOMESTIC REVENUE FLIGHT, DEPARTED KANSAS CITY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (MCI) AND WAS ENROUTE TO MANHATTAN, KANSAS (MHK). DURING THE APPROACH PHASE OF THE FLIGHT, THE LEADING EDGE OF THE LEFT WING IMPACTED A BIRD. THE LANDING WAS UNEVENTFUL AND THE FLIGHT CREW WAS UNAWARE OF THE BIRD STRIKE UNTIL PERFORMING A POST FLIGHT INSPECTION. THE CAPTAIN RECORDED THE DISCREPANCY IN THE AIRCRAFT'S LOG BOOK AND COMPLETED THE FAA FORM 5200-7 TITLED BIRD/OTHER WILDLIFE STRIKE REPORT. THE DENT WAS INSPECTED AND A FERRY PERMIT WAS OBTAINED SO REPAIRS COULD BE COMPLETED AT THE GREAT LAKES MAINTENANCE BASE IN CHEYENNE WYOMING.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
