## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON FEBRUARY 7, 2007 AT APPROXIMATELY 14:00 CST, A CESSNA 150, N5757G AND A PIPER PA28-180, N55502 LOST SEPARATION WHILE ON APPROACH TO RUNWAY 35 AT FAIRMONT STATE AIRFIELD LOCATED IN FAIRMONT, NEBRASKA. THE PILOT OF THE CESSNA WAS ON QUARTER MILE FINAL AT 400 FEET ABOVE GROUND LEVEL (AGL), WHEN THE PIPER AIRCRAFT ENTERED THE PATTERN FROM THE NORTHWEST. THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR OF THE PIPER AIRCRAFT CAME IN CONTACT WITH THE PROPELLER OF THE CESSNA. BOTH AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. BOTH AIRCRAFT RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE AND THE PILOTS WERE NOT INJURED.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN09IA161](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN09IA161), Feb 7, 2009: Cessna 150 (N5757G), Fairmont, NE, incident, minor damage. Probable cause: Both pilots' failure to see and avoid the other aircraft.

## Other reports on N5757G (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19910925050239I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19910925050239I), Sep 25, 1991: Cessna 150K (N5757G), Wessington Spri, SD, Minor damage. Hit a powerline while on final approach for landing on county road. Landed safely.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
