## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) N939FR, A319-111, WAS OPERATED AS FRONTIER FLIGHT 440, FROM DEN TO OMA. ON DESCENT FROM FL350, THE CREW RECEIVED A NR 4 ENGINE CONTROL FAULT MESSAGE AND THE RIGHT ENGINE SHUTDOWN. THE CREW DECLARED AN EMERGENCY. THE ENGINE RESTARTED WITHOUT CREW INPUT, AND ALL PARAMETERS RETURNED TO NORMAL. FURTHER DESCENT, APPROACH AND LANDING WERE UNEVENTFUL ON TWO ENGINES. MAINTENANCE DETERMINED THAT THE HYDROMECHANICAL UNIT HAD FAILED. THE UNIT WAS REPLACED AND THE AIRCRAFT APPROVED FOR RETURN TO SERVICE. TOTAL TIME OF THE AIRCRAFT AND HYDROMECHANICAL UNIT WAS 14,000 HOURS, AND 6,944 CYCLES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
