As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON FEBRUARY 26, 2009 AT 2105 N426MT TOLAND S/THORNBURGH TWIN 503SL AIRCRAFT WAS POSITIONED BETWEEN HANGARS AT KTOA. WHILE PREPARING THE AIRCRAFT DURING STARTUP, THE FRONT PASSENGER ACTIVATED THE PEDAL THROTTLE AND THE AIRCRAFT BEGAN TO ROLLOUT BETWEEN THE HANGARS BECOMING AIRBORNE. ## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR09LA130](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR09LA130), Feb 27, 2009: Toland S/Thornburgh J Twin 503SL (N426MT), Torrance, CA, substantial damage, 1 fatal. Probable cause: The passenger’s inadvertent activation of the engine throttle.
