## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE AIRCRAFT MADE A VISUAL APPROACH TO RUNWAY 18 AT KIXD. THE WIND AT KIXD WAS 140 DEGREES AT 20 KNOTS, GUSTING TO 25 KNOTS. THE PILOT LOST DIRECTIONAL CONTROL DURING THE LANDING AND ALLOWED THE AIRCRAFT TO EXIT THE WEST SIDE OF THE RUNWAY, STRIKING A RUNWAY LIGHT. AFTER THE PILOT REGAINED CONTROL, HE STEERED THE AIRCRAFT BACK ONTO THE RUNWAY, STRIKING TWO BLADES OF HIS THREE-BLADE PROPELLER ON THE RUNWAY SURFACE WHILE TRANSITIONING FROM THE GRASS TO THE CONCRETE. INCIDENT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ IS CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
