## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) N680AN, B-757-223, WAS OPERATED AS AMERICAN AIRLINES FLIGHT 2252 ENROUTE FROM JAC TO ORD. THE MECHANIC MOVED THE INLET BLADES AND NOTED THE BLADES WERE STICKY, BUT NO OTHER ANOMALIES WERE NOTED. AN ENGINE VIB RUN WAS COMPLETED. TRACK NR 1 ENGINE VIB WAS .9. THE AIRCRAFT WAS FLOWN TO TUL. AALA MAINTENANCE PERFORMED A #6 VIBRATION SURVEY AND FOUND THE ENGINE N1 VIB HIGHEST AT 1.7. MAINTENANCE ACCOMPLISHED A FAN TRIM BALANCE. THE ENGINE WAS APPROVED FOR RETURN TO SERVICE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
