## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AS AIRMAN CONDUCTED HIS PRE-LANDING CHECKS HE WAS UNABLE TO GET INDICATION THAT THE LANDING GEAR WAS DOWN AND LOCKED, AND THE LANDING GEAR UNSAFE LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. AIRMAN MADE SEVERAL MANEUVER IN ATTEMPT OF GETTING THE LANDING GEAR DOWN AND SAFE INDICATION, BUT WAS UNSUCCESSFUL, AND TRIED USING THE EMERGENCY GEAR HANDLE BUT THAT TO WAS UNSUCCESSFUL. AIRMAN REQUESTED CONTROL TOWER TO DO A VISUAL LOOK OF THE LANDING GEAR, BUT WAS INFORMED BY THE CONTROLLER THAT THE LANDING GEAR WERE ONLY PARTIALLY EXTENDED. AIRMAN CHOSE TO MAKE A "DEAD STICK" GEAR-UP LANDING ON A NON-ACTIVE RUNWAY. UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION, IT WAS DISCOVERED WHEN AIRCRAFT POWER WAS APPLIED TO THE AIRCRAFT THE HYDRAULIC PUMP WAS RUNNING, BUT THE HYDRAULIC RESERVOIR SYSTEM WAS LOW. THE NOSE LANDING GEAR ACTUATOR WAS LEAKING, BUT UNABLE TO DETERMINE, IF THAT CAUSE THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM FLUID TO BE LOW. A BOLT WITHIN THE EMERGENCY LANDING GEAR QUADRANT WAS INCORRECTLY INSTALLED LIMITING THE EMERGENCY GEAR HANDLE RANGE. CAUSE OF THE INCIDENT IS STILL UNDER INVESTIGATION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
