## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 16 MARCH 2009, N9176G, A 1989 PIPER MALIBU, MODEL NUMBER PA46-350P, SERIAL NUMBER 4622055, BEING OPERATED BY AN ATP RATED PILOT, DEPARTED KJSO (CHEROKEE COUNTRY AIRPORT) ON AN IFR FLIGHT PLAN TO PIGGOTT, AR (7M7). THE AIRCRAFT WAS BEING OPERATED PART 91 WITH A FINAL DESTINATION OF RONOAKE, VIRGINIA. IN ADDITION TO THE PILOT THERE WERE FOUR OTHER PASSENGERS ONBOARD THE AIRCRAFT (SPOUSE + 3 CHILDREN). UPON LANDING THE PILOT DISCOVERED THAT HE HAD NO LEFT BRAKE AND COULD NOT STOP THE AIRCRAFT PRIOR TO GOING OFF THE END OF THE RUNWAY SO HIS DECISION WAS TO APPLY FULL RIGHT BRAKE WITH THE AIRCRAFT VEERING OFF THE RUNWAY TO THE RIGHT AND CAME TO A STOP IN A DRAINAGE DITCH RESULTING IN MINOR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT. WEATHER WAS VMC WITH LIGHT SOUTHERLY WINDS AND NOT A FACTOR.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
