## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT TOUCHED DOWN SMOOTHLY ON THE RUNWAY CENTER LINE AT APPROXIMATELY 40 KNOTS WITH MAIN LANDING GEAR TOUCHING DOWN FIRST. AFTER THE NOSE TOUCHED DOWN IT POPPED BACK UP. THE PILOT COMPENSTATED WITH RIGHT RUDDER AND STICK FORWARD. WHEN THE NOSE CAME BACK DOWN THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO VEER TO THE LEFT AND THE PROP TO STRIKE THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT SKIDDED APPROXIMATELY 60 TO 70 FEET INTO THE GRASS. TWO INDIVIDUALS WERE ONBOARD AND NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED. AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE OT THE LOWER ENGINE COWL, PROP, AND NOSE GEAR.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
