## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) N888MS, A SPORTCRUISER, LSA TOUCHED DOWN 800 FEET DOWN AT APPROXIMATELY 65-70 KNOTS ON A 1400 FOOT GRASS RUNWAY AT "PARADISE CITY" AT SUN N FUN (KLAL) ON 04/23/2009. THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED DOWN THE REMAINING 600 FEET OF RUNWAY WHERE AS THE PIC STATED HE LOST ALL BRAKING ABILITY AND CRASHED INTO A 12 FOOT FAIRLY DEEP DITCH, CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE TO HIS AIRCRAFT. THE WIND WAS 18 KNOTS AT 0940 LOCAL. THE AIRCRAFT HAD ATTEMPTED TO LAND TWICE BEFORE AND HAD EXECUTED GO AROUNDS. POOR PLANNING AND AIRSPEED CONTROL CONTRIBUTED TO THIS INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
