## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON APRIL 30, 2009, AT APPROXIMATELY 1126 CDT, THE CREW OF N339BC, A LEARJET MODEL 55, EXECUTED A TAKEOFF ROLL ON RUNWAY 17R AT LUBBOCK PRESTON SMITH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (KLBB). ON OR SHORTLY AFTER V1 SPEED, BOTH MAIN TIRES ON THE LEFT MAIN GEAR RUPTURED, DISENTIGRATED, AND DEPARTED FROM THE WHEEL ASSEMBLIES. THE TIRE REMNANTS WERE FOUND BY AIRPORT PERSONNEL ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE RUNWAY 17R BETWEEN TAXIWAYS V AND S. PIECES OF BRAKE ROTATING DISCS, STEEL WHEEL CLIPS, AND ALUMINUM WHEEL PIECES WERE FOUND NEAR THE CENTERLINE OF RUNWAY 17R, NORTH OF RUNWAY 8. THE FLIGHT CREW ELECTED TO CONTINUE THEIR FLIGHT AS SCHEDULED TO NASSAU, BAHAMAS (MYNN). UPON LANDING AT MYNN THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED DAMAGE TO THE LEFT FLAP, LEFT HAND FUSELAGE SKIN BETWEEN FRAMES 18 AND 19, AND BOTH LEFT MAIN WHEELS AND BRAKES. THE LEFT ENGINE COWLING LOWER SIDE AND THE LOWER THRUST REVERSER COWLING ON THE LEFT ENGINE WERE ALSO DAMAGED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
