## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ IS A STUDENT PILOT ON A CROSS COUNTRY FLIGHT. HE DEPARTED PASCO FOR LEWISTON THEN ON TO COUER D' ALENE WHERE HE BOUGHT GAS. DURING THE DEPARTURE HE ELECTED TO DO A TOUCH AND GO BEFORE DEPARTING FOR PASCO. DURING THAT LANDING AND TAKEOFF THE STUDENT LOST CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT. THE AIRPLANE DEPARTED THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY 19. IT CONTINUED THROUGH THE INFIELD TO THE SEGMENTED CIRCLE WHERE IT COLLIDED WITH TWO OF THE SEGMENTS OF THE CIRCLE. THE NOSE GEAR AND RIGHT MAIN GEAR COLLAPSED. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST WITH THE RIGHT WING RESTING ON THE GROUND. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ IS THIS STUDENT FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR. THE REGULATORY CHECKRIDE ABOVE IS THE STUDENTS 90 DAY SOLO ENDORSEMENT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR09CA233](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR09CA233), May 9, 2009: Cessna 172R (N2383Q), Coeur d'Alene, ID, substantial damage. Probable cause: The student pilot's inadequate compensation for the crosswinds while landing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
