## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) UPON LANDING, WITH 6 KNOT CROSSWIND AND TAIL WHEEL DOWN, THE PILOT PULLED THE THRUST LEVER INTO MAXIMUM BETA. AS BETA KICKED IN, THE AIRCRAFT ABRUPTLY TURNED RIGHT. THE THRUST LEVER WAS IMMEDIATELY MOVED OUT OF BETA WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY APPLYING MAXIMUM LEFT BRAKE AND RUDDER. THESE ACTIONS COULD NOT ARREST THE RIGHT TURN AND THE AIRCRAFT GROUND LOOPED. DURING THE GROUND LOOP, THE LEFT WHEEL BROKE, THE LEFT WING TIP RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE AND THE LEFT AILERON RECEIVED SUPERFICIAL DAMAGE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
