## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING ROLL OUT AFTER LANDING AT TACOMA NARROWS AIRPORT (TIW) THE PILOT OF THE CE-185 TAILWHEEL AIRCRAFT LOST CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT. THE LEFT WINGTIP STRUCK THE GROUND AND WAS DRAGGED APPROXIMATELY 30 FEET. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO A STOP ON IT'S NOSE BALANCED BETWEEN THE PROPELLER AND THE RIGHT WINGTIP.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR09CA252](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR09CA252), May 18, 2009: Cessna 185E (N70083), Tacoma, WA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain directional control while landing with a crosswind.
