## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT IN COMMAND OF PIPER PA 31T N23334, MR. JOHN FOSTER, AFTER CANCELING AN IFR FLIGHT PLAN WITH CAE.ATC, MADE A STRAIGHT IN APPROACH TO RUNWAY 31 AT OWENS DOWNTOWN AIRPORT (CUB) INDIFFERENT TO VFR TRAFFIC LANDING ON RUNWAY 13. UPON SEEING THE VFR LANDING TRAFFIC ON RUNWAY 13 HE VEERED N23334 TO THE LEFT OF THE RUNWAY AND STRUCK A RUNWAY LIGHT CAUSING DAMAGE TO ONE BLADE EACH ON THE LEFT AND RIGHT ENGINE. THE RUNWAY IN USE WAS RUNWAY 13. UPON SEEING N33334 ON ROLLOUT THE VFR TRAFFIC MADE A GO-A-ROUND AVOIDING THE POSSIBILITY OF A COLLISON ON THE RUNWAY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
