## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRCRAFT DEPARTED POU AT APPROXIMATELY 0900 LOCAL TIME ON A TRAINING FLIGHT. TWENTY MINUTES INTO THE FLIGHT THE AIRCRAFT ENGINE BEGAN TO LOOSE POWER (4500 RPM TO 3500 RPM). AN EMERGENCY LANDING WAS PERFORMED INTO A LOCAL FIELD APPROXIMATELY 5 MILES NORTH OF POU. THE AIRCRAFT WAS UNDAMAGED AND THE OCCUPANTS UNINJURED. POSSIBLE IMPROPER MIXTURE OF FUEL AND TWO STROKE OIL ON PRIOR OPERATION MAY BE A FACTOR. A BROKEN IGNITION GROUND WAS ALSO NOTED DURING THE ON-SITE INSPECTION. ENGINE WILL BE SENT TO MANUFACTURER FOR INSPECTION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
