## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AFTER LANDING GEAR EXTENSION, THERE WAS NO NOSE GEAR DOWN INDICATION. PILOT MADE A LOW APPROACH DOWN THE RUNWAY, ATC TOWER (BCT) ADVISED HIM THAT THE LANDING GEAR APPEARED NORMAL. AFTER TOUCHDOWN ON RUNWAY 5, THE AIRPLANE VEERED TO THE LEFT THEN EXITED THE RUNWAY AND STRUCK A TAXI WAY LIGHT. THE PILOT COULD NOT MAINTAIN DIRECTIONAL CONTROL DUE TO THE NOSE GEAR STEARING NOT BEING FULLY ENGAGED AND THE LACK OF DIFFERENTIAL BRAKING (HAND BRAKE) AVAILABLE ON THIS MODEL AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
