## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING TAKE OFF ROLL, AT ROTATION FROM DEKALB-PEACHTREE AIRPORT (KPDK) ON THE 06/12/2009 AT APPROX 1626 LOCAL, AIRCRAFT EXPERIENCED POWER FAILURE OF THE RIGHT ENGINE. PILOT SHUT DOWN AND FEATHERED THE RIGHT ENGINE AND ELECTED TO REMAIN ON THE RUNWAY, HE REPORTED HE APPLIED MAXIMUM BRAKING EFFORT; THE AIRCRAFT STOPPED APPROX 20-25 FEET OFF THE END OF THE PAVED RUNWAY INTO THE HARDENED OVERRUN AREA. TOWER CONTROLLER REPORTED WHAT APPEARED TO BE A CONTROLLED SLOW EXIT FROM THE RUNWAY. AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED NO APPARENT DAMAGE FROM THE OVERRUN EVENT. AIRCRAFT WAS TOWED TO LOCAL MAINTENANCE FACILITY FOR INVESTIGATION / REPAIR.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
