## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON JUNE 13, 2009 AT 1635 LOCAL TIME, A MURPHY REBEL HOMEBUILT AIRCRAFT, N117MR WAS FLYING FROM LIBBY, MT (S59), TO LAUREL, MT (6S8). ON ARRIVAL AT LAUREL THE AIRCRAFT GROUND LOOPED AND DEPARTED RUNWAY 22 TO THE RIGHT AND DAMAGED THE PROPELLER AND LANDING GEAR. THE WEATHER CONDITIONS WERE VFR WITH GUSTY WINDS FROM APPROXIMATELY 200 DEG. AT 12 KTS, ACCORDING TO A PILOT IN THE AIRCRAFT THAT LANDED AHEAD OF THE INCIDENT MACHINE. THE PILOT THAT REPORTED TO THE SHERIFF WAS A ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^. LATER IT WAS DETERMINED THAT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS IN THE LT SEAT BUT ANOTHER PILOT, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS THE PIC SITTING ON THE RIGHT SIDE WHERE THERE ARE NO BRAKE CONTROLS. THERE WERE NO INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
